While many people are gearing up to celebrate Mother’s Day this Sunday, a 55-year-old mother was allegedly struck with a cane knife by her son yesterday.
The alleged incident happened in Waiqele, Labasa, following a dispute.
The 30-year-old son is now in police custody while the mother is admitted at the Labasa hospital with head injuries.
