Setefano Somoca is expected to be one of the front runners for the captaincy role for the Flying Fijians team along with Wales based Deacon Manu and Leone Nakarawa.

The 31-year-old Somoca was happy with the team building exercise that was conducted at the Namosi, Kila World yesterday.

Somoca said Fijians are capable of taking on teams like England.


A total of 16 local and 14 overseas based players were named yesterday.

Head Coach, Inoke Male said he believes in the local players selected and is confident in having a good tour.

Netani Talei was identified to captain the side but injuries have ruled him out.

Yesterday FRU Chairman Liutenant Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga confirmed two million dollars is the total cost for the Flying Fijians tour to Europe.
