It’s almost a week since the taxi fare went up and more people are now catching buses and mini buses.
More than 15 taxis were today parked at the Suva Market bus stand when Fijivillage visited the taxi stand which according to some taxi drivers is not a normal scene.
Many taxi stands now have many taxis parked at the stands for most part of the day.
We spoke to some drivers on the taxi fare increase and while a few of them who own taxis say they are making profits now, most of them say they are not happy with the increase.
Fijivillage also spoke to some passengers who had this to say.
Meanwhile the government will make a statement later today.
