516 primary schools and 145 secondary schools will open today.
This has been confirmed by the Ministry of Education.
Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy said some schools will not be opened as they are severely damaged and is unsafe for our teachers and students.
Dr Reddy said they are working with DISMAC to see if some schools need carting of water.
All parents should make alternative arrangements for their children if their schools are not reopening.
