Some schools have been operating without some teachers since school started on the 16th of this month and the Education Ministry says this is caused by the school heads not giving proper information to the Ministry.
Fijivillage had received some calls from parents that their children did not have their teachers in school.
When we questioned Permanent Secretary for Education, Iowane Tiko on the issue, he said the Ministry of Education is working on requests and responses from school heads and sending out teachers accordingly.
Tiko says some school heads are not giving proper feedback.
He says the Ministry is posting teachers this week and some will be sent next week.
When asked if this has affected classes, Tiko assures people none of the schools have been affected by this.
Tiko says he cannot disclose how many teachers are yet to be sent to schools.
