Some of Vodafone Fiji 7s player’s homes were also affected from the Monster Cyclone Winston.

Team Manager Ropate Kauvesi says this is a big challenge for the national team as they will be camping again today to prepare for the next World Rugby Sevens leg.

Kauvesi’s family home in Mudu Village, Koro was among the houses that was destroyed by the Cyclone.

Kauvesi was emotional this morning as he paid tribute to the people who have lost their lives in Koro and those who have been affected around the country.

He said this will boost their preparations and are aiming to defend the Las Vegas 7s title.

Meanwhile Pio Tuwai and other players from the west are some of the players whose village and homes were affected.

Fiji is pooled with Samoa, France and Argentina in the Las Vegas 7s which will be held from the 5th to the 7th of next month.
