Defending champion, Waimanu will have to beat Red Rock 2 to be in the quarterfinal while Police with former national reps, Sakenasa Aca and Peni Gaunimeke are also in the running.
Hideaway Hurricanes have the likes of Nadroga reps, Nemani Nagusa, Semesa Gonevou, Paula Karatu, Aporosa Tabulawaki and Apisai Navoro are the early favorites after winning all of their pool games yesterday with no tries scored against them.
Also, Samurai Gold under the leadership of Pio Tuwai, Apisai Nayabo and David Batiratu remain unbeaten in day 1.
The quarterfinal will kick-off at 12.30pm in the Mokani school ground in Tailevu.
