Some officials from the Suva City Council have been terminated while some have been suspended and others are under investigation in relation to the alleged theft of money from parking meters and theft of garbage bins from the capital.
SCC Special administrator Chandu Umaria revealed to Fijivillage news that they will not condone any acts of corruption with the Council and more heads will roll as investigations continue.
Umaria stressed that the council, which in the past had been tainted by allegations of corruption and nepotism, has adopted the zero tolerance policy and those found to be involved in illegal acts will not get a second chance for abusing council funds.
