The Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor Lepani Waqatakirewa has informed that Samabula, Raiwaqa, Lami, Makoi and Valelevu Health Centers will remain open from 8.00am to 4.30pm from Monday to Friday and the general public can access services at these centers.
However, Baby clinics at the centres are still closed until further notice but Doctors will be available to provide prescription for special clinic patients.
Meanwhile there is still no resolution in sight in relation to the nurses strike as the FNA maintains that they want their 5 percent pay cut to be restored while the interim government maintains that it cannot afford to give into the FNA's demands.
