Solomons Futsal coach Dickson Kadau has praised his side which came back from a 3-2 score at halftime and produced 6 goals in the last two quarters to win the match against New Zealand last night.
Solomons won the match 8-4 and now lead the points table with six points.
Kadau said the win against New Zealand was important and his players put up an excellent performance.
In the OFC Futsal Championship games today, Tahiti meets New Caledonia at 4.30pm, Vanuatu takes on New Zealand at 6.30pm and Fiji plays Tuvalu at 8.30pm.
Meanwhile, in two other games yesterday, Vanuatu edged New Caledonia 5-4 and Tahiti beat Tuvalu 4-0.
Fiji currently has 3 points from a win against Tahiti.
The round robin matches continue today amongst the six teams.
