Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama today reminded the soldiers to be sensible and to continue with their duties and not to be easily swayed by commentators who want to stop the country from moving forward.

Bainimarama was speaking to the soldiers at the Infantry Day parade today and stressed that each of them has to know his or her responsibility as stated in the constitution, as military officers in one of the major security forces in the country.

He reminded his men and women that some politicians are pushing their agenda that elections must be held in March, 2009, but added he has already stated that electoral reform must be done before the elections.

He reminded them again about the reasons of the cleanup campaign of the military, that led to the takeover on the 5th December, 2006, and that is to weed out corruption in the country and every soldier must be alert and pitch in to help the country move forward.
