Soldiers from the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces today presented a cheque of $140,000 to the Prime Minister's National disaster, relief and rehabilitation Fund.
In accepting the cheque, Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama thanked the soldiers for their spirit of giving up a day's pay and donating freely to the families who suffered from the floods.
Bainimarama said he would like to thank each and every one of them for their contribution to a worthwhile cause towards the Prime Minister's relief fund and he believes that this is one of largest amounts given.
