The Head of the Technical and Support Secretariat said the Taukei Movement which led the 1987 coup has not gone away, and it still exists but in different forms.
Speaking at the launching of the book "1987 Fiji Twenty Years On" last night, John Sami also said that the society in Fiji is still divided.
He also raised concern that Colonel Sitiveni Rabuka who overthrew the government in 1987 made the people of Fiji think that Fiji would be like Malaysia.
He added that if the country is to move forward, the cycle of coups has to end.
