After their 4-nil loss to Germany in their opening pool game, Australia got the results they were waiting for last night when Serbia upset Germany 1-nil which gives them chances of playing in the second round.
Captain Lucas Neil said the game against Ghana tomorrow means a lot to the history of the Australian team in the World Cup.
Also for goal-keeper Mark Schwager playing Ghana is a chance for them to prove their worth in the World Cup.
The Australia and Ghana game kicks-off at 2am tomorrow.
Meanwhile, England's nil all draw with Algeria this morning has left one of the World Cup favourites on the brink of elimination with one game to go in the first round against Slovenia
In other results, Serbia caused the third upset of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer last night when they brought a 10 man Germany crashing back down to earth with a narrow 1- nil win in Port Elizabeth that blows qualification from Group D wide open.
Also USA and Slovenia played to a 2-2 all draw.
Games coming up tonight at 11.30pm, Netherlands will take on Japan, at 2am tomorrow Australia will face Ghana and at 6.30pm Denmark up against Cameroon.
