All players taking part at the Courts Homecentres IDC this weekend, are required under FIRCA's laws to submit tax returns on any extra income they will earn during the four day soccer tournament.
FIRCA Chief Executive, Jitoko Tikolevu made this comment when questioned about the districts bringing in overseas players.
It is understood that most districts just reimburse the expenses incurred by players to play for the teams.
Tikolevu said if there is any extra income which the players earn during the four day tournament, it will have to be taxed.
He said it is important that all parties are honest.
Meanwhile most of the districts that brought in overseas players have confirmed they are only reimbursing the expenses of the players as they are here on holiday.
The Courts Homecentres IDC kicks off on Thursday at the Post Fiji stadium.
