Soccer players taking part in this year's Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants soccer tournament will be insured.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Bob Kumar said they have an insurance scheme for every soccer player that is affiliated with the parent body.

Kumar said by having the insurance scheme, it also benefits the players if they get injured and most of the cost is covered by Fiji FA.

Meanwhile Kumar said that all preparation for the two week tournament has been done and they are just waiting for the tournament to get underway.

In the opening round of games this weekend, Labasa meets Suva, Ba meets Nasinu and Rewa takes on Nadroga.
