Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni has assured that they are now implementing various strategies to combat the increase in burglaries and home invasions as with Christmas just around the corner.
While responding to calls for the police to reactivate the checkpoints around the country at night, Teleni said snap checkpoints are being put up in strategic locations to track down would be offenders.
Teleni stresses that military assistance will be sought if the need arises, but at this point in time he has full confidence in the Police Force to handle the responsibility and safety of the public over the Christmas season.
