Former Wallaby flanker and veteran Brumby George Smith has agreed to re join the Brumbies on a short term contract, filling the final spot on the team's 35 man squad.

The veteran of 128 Brumbies games and 110 Tests has committed to the ACT based club, completing an already ferocious forward pack.

One of the greatest loose forwards to play the game, Smith has been representing Suntory in the Japanese league over the last rugby season, claiming the club's fifth title on Sunday.

Head Coach Jake White said that Smith is one of seven players to reach 100 games for the Brumbies and a player of his ability and experience is a huge bonus for his team moving forward.

The Brumbies will face the Waratahs at 8.40pm Saturday.

In other matches, on Friday the Hurricanes will face the Crusaders at 6.35pm while the Rebels will play the Reds at 8.40pm.

On Saturday the Highlanders will face the Cheetahs at 6.35pm while on Sunday the Stormers will face the Chiefs at 3.05am, the Kings against the Sharks at 5.10am while the Blues will face the Bulls at 3.05pm Sunday at Eden Park.
