Only one of the 14 political parties who were part of the talks with Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama last month has handed in their submission on the proposed agenda for the political forum to the two independent interlocutors.
Co-interlocutor Robin Nair confirmed he and Dr Sitiveni Halapua will not rush into taking submissions from the remaining political parties, however, they are ready to help the individual parties.
It was agreed after the first meeting on October 27th that the political parties would hand in their submissions by November 16th to allow the two interlocutors to start their consultations on a draft agenda and the terms of reference for the proposed President’s Political Dialogue Forum.
Meanwhile, the next round of talks between the political parties and Commodore Bainimarama is expected to be held early next month.
