The Digicel Fiji Sevens team has a slim chance of winning the overall IRB Sevens series title.

The side lost 28-33 to New Zealand in the semifinals of the Hong Kong 7s tournament last night and now have a tough road ahead of them in the England and Scotland Sevens as they will be ranked third going into the tournament.

Last night on our sister radio station Viti FM talk back, rugby fans called for changes to the team especially at rover where Nasoni Roko failed to perform.

They also questioned whether Pio Tuwai was 100 percent fit after he slowed down in most parts of the game against New Zealand.

It was evident from their performance that they missed the service of Setefano Cakau who had been ruled out for 6 weeks due to an injury.

Samoa after winning the finals beating New Zealand 24-21 now leads the series for the first time with 124 points and closely followed by New Zealand on 121 points.

Samoa Coach Stephen Bethen said his message to the boys was mainly to build their points.
