The Air Pacific Fiji Warriors and Air Pacific Fiji Barbarians now have slim hopes of playing in the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup final after losing their games in the second round of competition.

Fiji Warriors suffered their first loss, going down 18-20 to Savai Samoa in Apia yesterday and now they must beat reigning champions Upolu Samoa on Saturday to remain in contention for a finals berth.

Fiji Barbarians have a slim chance, as they lost both their matches so far. On Friday they lost to Upolu Samoa by 5-22.

Meanwhile Tonga's Tautahi Gold registered their first win over Fellow Tongan's Tau'uta Reds by 20-11.

In this weekend's matches Fiji Warriors travels to Apia to face Upolu Samoa while Fiji Barbarians will take on Tau'uta Reds at Lawaqa Park on Saturday and Savai'i Samoa plays Tautahi Gold.
