The new Secretary General of the Forum Secretariat said he will meet with the interim Prime Minister Commodore Bainimarama upon his arrival in Suva.
Tuiloma Neroni Slade, who was the Samoa Ambassador to the US, said it is common courtesy to meet with the leader of the country in which the Forum Secretariat is based and will do so, when he arrives in Fiji.
Slade was appointed the new Secretary General of the Forum Secretariat earlier this week at the Pacific Islands Forum Meet in Niue.
He replaced Greg Urwin who passed away in Samoa after a long illness.
