Police and forensic officers are investigating a human skeleton that was found in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.
Divisional Crime Officer Western ASP Luke Rawalai confirmed to Fijivillage that the skeleton was discovered in a dense forest in Naidiri village by a man who was on his way to look for yams.
ASP Rawalai added that forensic, police officers and a doctor have been deployed to investigate the scene where the skeleton was discovered.
He added that they are now trying to find out if the skeleton belongs to a male or female.
