Fijian Sitiveni Sivivatu has been ruled out for the rest of the Super 14 season as he is to undergo surgery for his dislocated shoulder in three weeks time.

The All Black and Chiefs winger will scratched from any national or club duty after a consultation yesterday confirmed the worst and he will go under the knife and then six months time out for rehabilitation.

However, coach Ian Foster said it's another day as the injury curse continues to strike and only the best teams will be able to cope with such concerns.

This is the second time this week that the Chiefs have been forced to make a change to the lineup following the benching of Sione Lauaki after an accident over the weekend.

Meanwhile in this weekend's Super 14 games, the Highlanders hosts the Waratahs on Friday at 7:35pm.

Early Saturday morning at 5:10, the Crusaders play the Stormers in South Africa.

Then at 7:35pm the Hurricanes take on the Chiefs and at 9:40pm the Brumbies meets the Reds.
