New Zealand's sevens opponents in this weekend’s Wellington 7s must collectively hold their breath when All Blacks 7s Coach Sir Gordon Tietjens will unleash to what he calls the rabbit.

This comes after Auckland teenager Akira Ioane is likely to be introduced to the world of international sevens.

Tietjens said that the 18-year-old has a wonderful talent and he has the fitness level and the skills to become one of the best international players.

Tietjens said there is no doubt New Zealand is desperate to reassert themselves at Westpac Stadium where they have enjoyed some memorable victories.

Meanwhile The New Zealand 7s kicks off this Friday and Fiji will play New Zealand in the first pool match at 2:06pm.
