Lautoka lawyer Aman Ravindra Singh has lodged an official complaint with regards to the allegations of torture involving his colleagues.

The report was lodged at the Lautoka Police Station this afternoon.

Singh has been highlighting the alleged torture case for the past two weeks.

He claims that one of his female colleagues was attacked by two men last month and they also asked her about his whereabouts.

Singh also claims that one of his clerks was picked up by some men who gagged and tortured him for a few hours.

When Fijivillage questioned Singh last week on whether he has lodged the complaint, he only said that he was not feeling well and will speak later on the issue.

Acting Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho told us last week that he had called Singh earlier this month after hearing about the allegations.

He had also asked Singh to contact him if he needed any assistance.

Qiliho says Aman Ravindra Singh is also the lawyer for Lautoka internet café owner, Rajneel Singh who found the emails regarding the plans to assassinate a number of government ministers and officials.

Director CID SSP Kishore Kumar says a thorough investigation will be conducted after the complaint lodged by Aman Ravindra Singh.
