Singh in his opening shot 3 over par 73 and lies in 17th place on the leader board. He is nine shots behind the leader Anthony Kim of America, who carded 6 under par 64 this morning.
Singh needs to play in all the four rounds at the Tour Championship to win the FedEx Cup and the 10-million-US dollars.
The second round of the Tour Championship will be played tomorrow.
