Golfer Vijay Singh finally found his touch with the putter to storm into contention for the Singapore Open, closing to within one stroke of leader Angel Cabrera with eight holes to play in the final round.

Singh, who had seen birdie putts lip-out or stop inches short all week, was four-under for his round after mixing three birdies with an eagle and a bogey to reach seven-under par for the tournament.

Both Singh and Cabrera will go head-to-head in the final round today.
