Golfer Vijay Singh let out a long sigh of relief after capping one of the most successful seasons of his career by clinching the lucrative FedEx Cup and a 10-million-US-dollar bonus this morning.

Singh had effectively secured the trophy after winning the first two of the four playoff events, and simply needed to complete the final round at the Tour Championship to pocket 9-million in cash with 1-million deferred.

The 48yr-old Singh said it's a good feeling to win the FedEx Cup and the money, although he failed to win the last PGA tour event of the season.

Singh, who posted a nine-over total of 289 in the tour Championship, said he found it too difficult to maintain intensity during the week with the FedEx Cup all but won.
