The Singapore Netball side finished their Fiji tour on a high after clinching a hard fought victory beating the Fiji under-21 45-39 last night.

Despite the comeback from the home team in the last quarter Singapore had the crowd on their feet with their excellent defense.

Coach Kate Carpenter said that the victory comes as a major boost for the side as they will be participating in the Asia National Championship next month.

Carpenter added that this is their second time in Fiji and have enjoyed touring the country.

Meanwhile the Fiji under-21 laced with National reps Taufa Taga, Raijeli Daveua and Unaisi Raulini strengthened the side but it was not enough.

Coach Moape Vu said that after all it was good exposure for the girls to meet the Singapore National side.

The Fiji under-21 is preparing for the world netball youth championship in Scotland next year.
