NRL Match Review Committee coordinator Michael Buettner has explained the reasoning behind the five‑game suspension of Newcastle forward Tariq Sims.
Sims was charged with a grade two shoulder charge on Penrith hooker James Segeyaro in Round 26.
Sims will miss the first five matches of the 2016 NRL Premiership.
Meanwhile in this week's finals, the Roosters will take on the Storm at 9.55pm Friday, the Bulldogs will play the Dragons at 7.50pm Saturday while the Broncos will meet the Cowboys at 9.55pm.
The Rabbitohs will play the Sharks at 6.10pm Sunday.
