Vodafone Fiji Bati and Newcastle forward Korbin Sims will challenge the grading of his high tackle charge from the Pacific Test at the NRL judiciary in a bid to play this weekend.

The 22-year-old hit Samoan halfback Penani Manumalealii in the 49th minute of the match, but he will argue that the smaller man was falling in the tackle when the contact was made.

Meanwhile, Samoan forward Sam Tagataese has taken the early guilty plea for his head butt on Bati prop Kane Evans and will miss Cronulla's match against Parramatta.
