Vodafone Fiji Bati captain Ashton Sims said leading his nation out for the first time this Saturday will be the proudest moment of his 12-year career so far.

The Cowboys enforcer will fill the massive hole left by retired legend Petero Civoniceva, and with the experienced Wes Naiqama also missing with a foot injury, coach Rick Stone opted for Sims to run the boys out of the tunnel this weekend.

Sims said it means the world to him and it’s the highest individual honour he have ever had.

The Vodafone Fiji Bati will play Samoa at 9:30pm this Saturday for a place in the Four Nations tournament which include Australia, New Zealand and England.
