The Fiji Womens Crisis Center is staging a silent protest at its office in Suva to show its opposition to the December 5th takeover of 2006.

Pro Democracy activists along with officials of the Crisis Center have put together and are wearing T-shirts, quoting a saying from Dr. Martin Luther King " Our Lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" on the front of the t-shirt with the back having the slogan, human rights for all and according to Fiji Human Rights Commissioner and FWCC Coordinator Shameema Ali, this is their way of expressing their disappointment at what is happening in the country, one year since the takeover.
