With the mill upgrade works nearing completion, there are signs of a positive year for the sugar industry with production and sugar proceeds forecast being upgraded.
However, Fiji Sugar Cooperation (FSC) CEO Deo Saran said there could be some teething problems at the upgraded mills.
The FSC has now taken over the role of the Fiji Sugar Marketing and they are now responsible to market Fiji sugar abroad.
