The Sigatoka Valley Road has been deemed accessible only upto Loma Nursing Station and Police are cautioning residents to be careful as water is rising in the area.
Nadroga, Sigatoka and Navosa are currently experiencing very heavy rain and Police have closed the major roads for public safety.
According to ASP Tasivatu Vasoroi, said that they are closely watching these areas as rain from Nadroga and Navosa could lead to flooding of towns and villages further downstream.
Vasoroi said that the water level in Sigatoka is receding slowly.
The Emori Bridge is under 4 feet of Water, from kavanigasau road to Lokia and can only be accessed by Four wheel drives.
