Should Waisale Serevi be given the free reign to pick the Digicel Fiji 7s team to defend the Melrose Cup in the World Cup 7s next year?
That will be the main topic of discussion for the next few days after the Fiji Rugby Union President, Ro Filipe Tuisawau made it clear that tough decisions need to be made now, and assess whether the FRU is being too restrictive with Serevi in relation to the selection and preparation of the team.
The team that went to Dubai and George was picked by the panel of selectors headed by Ilivasi Tabua - they had the final say on the team.
Ro Filipe said the provincial rugby unions will ask the FRU Board to reconsider the selection process.
Ro Filipe admits that he wants Serevi to decide on his team but he said the FRU Board will have the final say after assessing the Coach and Manager's reports when they return tomorrow.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team returns at 7:45am tomorrow. The World Cup 7s which will be held in Dubai, is just three months away.
