One of the major problems facing the Housing Authority is the shortage of low cost housing.
Authority Chief Executive Alipate Naiorosui said with the shortage of housing all stakeholders, they have decided to work together with a common goal to resolve major issues affecting Low-Cost Housing Development.
Naiorosui added the Authority prides itself on helping those tenants who had to move out of the four storey buildings in Raiwai and Raiwaqa.
Naiorosui added under its 5 year plan the Authority plans to commence with its development work at the end of this year at namely Tacirua East with 185 acres of land, at Nepani with 20 acres of land and at Wainibuku with 50 acres of land.
The three projects are expected to produce over 2,000 housing lots and units to meet the high demand for housing lots and units within the Suva/Nausori corridor.
