We do have a short term milk supply plan.

Those were the sentiments of Rewa Dairy Chief Executive Savenaca Seniloli in light of the disease, Brucellosis present in cows in Tailevu North dairy farms.

Seniloli said on the short term, the Co-operative will have to boost the reconstitute milk line and imported pre-pack milk.

The Dairy CEO earlier said they have seen a decline on the daily milk supply after the affected animals were removed due to Brucellosis infection.

Farms in the Wainivesi and Waimaro areas have been badly hit by this with farmers saying the disease could cripple the industry in the area.

When asked on when Brucellosis would be completely removed, Agriculture Permanent Secretary Dr Richard Beyer had this to say.
