Good news for last minute Christmas shoppers, as shops in the capital city will have extended hours this weekend.
President of the Suva Retailers Association, Himmat Lodhia said to avoid the rush they have experienced in past years they have decided that shops will have extended opening hours this weekend.
Lodhia also adds that they have spoken with police so that patrols are carried out as normal to ensure that security is maintained.
This Saturday shops will be open from 8.30am to 5pm and then on Sunday from 10 in the morning until 3pm.
Meanwhile, some shops have already extended their opening hours to 9 o’clock at night.
