Police are questioning a shop owner of Rewa Street, after a large amount of dried leaves believed to be marijuana was confiscated from his shop.

The Police Mobile Unit together with officers from the Flagstaff Police Post raided the shop and confiscated dried leaves and some seedlings yesterday afternoon.

The estimated street value of marijuana confiscated is about $10,000.

The leaves have been sent to the Koronivia Research Station for analysis.

Police raided the shop after receiving reports that the shopowner was selling marijuana and was also selling liquor after hours.
