The Fiji Media Council has expressed grave concern over the deportation of Fiji Times Publisher Evan Hannah this morning.
After an emergency meeting this morning, Media Council Chairman Daryl Tarte said they are shocked at the actions taken against Hannah.
Tarte adds that the interim government must come out clean on why Hannah has been deported.
The Media Council Chairman also said that they have tried on numerous occasions to set up a meeting with the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama to discuss the interim government's concerns with the media, however they are still awaiting a response.
