With fuel prices being reduced from today, people can expect to start paying less to travel between islands around the country as shipping companies are expected to start reviewing their pricing structures.
Consort Shipping's chief financial manager Adrian Prasad said they are expected to review their prices soon.
Bligh Water Shipping's general manager Abraham Simpson said while they have already slashed prices significantly, they would look into the possibility of further reductions for consumers.
The price of fuel decreases effective from today.
