Good news for sea travelers.
Bligh Waters Shipping company has announced a reduction in its fares.
Sales manager Mohammed Sareem said customers travelling to and from Vanua Levu and Viti Levu will now only pay $56 instead of the actual $67.
Sareem said that from Savusavu to Tavueni, people will now only pay $25 instead of $47 whereas the fare to Taveuni has reduced to $65 instead of the normal $78.
He said the first class fares have also been reduced and the return passage for a car and its driver from Suva to Savusavu is now $350.
The old fare was $491.
Sareem added that this reduction has only been made possible with the reduction of fuel prices announced last week.
