The Sharks have stunned the Crusaders 30-25 in their Super Rugby clash in Christchurch last night.

The visitors were down to 14 men after 17 minutes when a Sharks player was given a red card for stomping on Jordan Taufua’s head.

The Crusaders lacked execution in the second half and once again failed to dominate despite another Sharks player being sin-binned in the later stages of the game.

The loss leaves the Crusaders third in the New Zealand conference, three points adrift of the second placed Highlanders.

Also last night, a late penalty secured the Rebels a hard-fought 30-27 victory over the Reds in Brisbane.

Meanwhile, the Cheetahs produced an upset 27-21 win over the Brumbies.

The Brumbies could not back up their win over the Sharks from last week, as the Cheetahs picked up their first win over international opposition this season.

Also this morning, the Stormers moved off the bottom of the table after securing a 24-8 victory over the Western Force in Cape Town.

At 6.05pm today, the Waratahs will play the Lions.
