The Sharks will be one of the favourites in next week's Colonial Cup semifinals.

The Ifereimi Tawake coached side caused two upsets in this year's competition, beating the Stallions and the Highlanders, the two top teams in the competition.

The Sharks will also have the advantage of winning the first semifinal, as they will host the Crusaders at Labasa's Subrail Park on Friday. They have already beaten the Crusaders in a round-robin match by 37 points to 25 earlier this month.

Meanwhile, the Highlanders are tipped to win the other semifinal over the Knights next Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Both teams also met earlier this month with the Highlanders winning that match by 11 points to 9.
