Shareholders should find out about their shares and collect their dividend cheques.
These are the words of South Pacific Stock Exchange Chief Executive Officer, Jinita Prasad who said that often cheques remain with the companies, as the shareholders change their addresses and cheques are not collected.
She adds that there is no timeframe for cheques to be collected as it remains in the trust.
Meanwhile, South Pacific Stock Exchange also organised a free lunch seminar on Friday as they feel that it is an ideal time to create more awareness about the stock market, so that people can focus more on savings and investing.
