One of the most common crimes committed within the province of Namosi is sexual offences between January and April, this year.

That was highlighted to the chiefs and Tikina representatives at the Namosi Provincial Council meeting last week by Police when they made their presentation.

Station officer Navua, Epeli Senitiri told the Chiefs that reports received that 16 year old girls are the victims of the sexual offences. Senitiri said a total of six girls were victimized in the first quarter compared to three last year.

Meanwhile Namosi chief, Ratu Kiniviliame Taukei-ni-koro said family values must be strongly taught at home to eradicate these problems.
