A severe flood warning remains in force for the major rivers, streams and low lying areas in the Western division.

A strong wind warning remains in force for the land areas of the Fiji group.

A tropical depression was located south southwest of Nadi at 9am today.

It is gradually moving away from Fiji.

Associated active trough of low pressure continues to affect the group.

However another system is already approaching Fiji which is expected to bring continuous heavy rain.

A message to everyone:
Please take note that there is a danger of the main rivers in the Western division rising today.   

Yhe next high tide is at 12.49pm today and people are advised to take necessary precautions.

Heavy rain continues in the Western division and parts of the West are flooded again.

Meanwhile the Queens Highway between Suva and Sigatoka is open however the road between Sigatoka and Nadi has been closed off due to flooding in Sigatoka and Semo village and this has been confirmed by Sigatoka Police.

We are also receiving many reports of landslides along the Queens Highway.
