The Digicel Fiji Sevens Team has been given the Number 1 seed for the Carlton Sri Lanka Sevens this weekend.

The Iliesa Tanivula coached side is in Pool A with the Barbarians, Spain, Korea and Malaysia.

Australia and Kenya are the top seeds in Pool B while Samoa Barbarians head Pool C and New Zealand Legends will face South Africa Vipers in Pool D.

The Sri Lanka Sevens will also have all of the top teams in the IRB Sevens Series using this tournament as their last phase of buildup for the Dubai Sevens next weekend.

The Samoa Barbarians, New Zealand Legends and Australia all reached the semifinals in the Gold Coast Sevens two weeks ago where the Fiji team bowed out during the pool games.

The Sri Lanka Sevens will start on Saturday.
